There are many types of mr16 halogen bulbs from a 10 watt to 75 watt and from a 3000 hour life to 10,000 hour mr16 halogens which are xenon gas filled to extend their life . the mr16 cool back range from prolite are available in clear back , silver or black backed mr16 50 watt cool back bulbs , these cool back versions are ideal for situations that call for a bulb to be in close proximity to items that are being lit such as clothing . The natural daylight mr16 bulbs provide a higher colour temperature and are used in areas such as art galleries , showrooms etc . The procolour mr16 bulbs do not use a gel or dichroic reflectors to provide the colour but the glass is coated so the tru colour of the bulb can be seen , these do not fade and maintain their colour through out the life of the lamp .
